Hello,
I'm specyfing a core L3/L2 switch to connect my servers. One of the applications that will run in those machines uses a protocol which need to retrieve information from the hosts by sending UDP broadcasts in a specific port. As we'll many subnets, I'd like to know if the Nexus 3172 can forward this kind of packets to retrieve data from hosts which aren't connected to the same subnet of the servers.
I believe that the commands needed for this features are ip forward-protocol and ip helper-address.
This related post answers the question for the Nexus 7000 series, but it's quite old.
Could you clarify this point, please?

Hi,
Unfortunately, "ip forward-protocol" is not supported on Nexus 3000s as of yet and there is no timeline identified or an ETA in the roadmap for this feature.
This is somewhat documented (albeit poorly) in https://bst.cloudapps.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCuu60491/?reffering_site=dumpcr for the N9K yet it applies to the N3K as well.
Hope that helps.
