Hi people,
I am getting the below logs from my router 7200.
%PIM-4-INVALID_SRC_REG: Received Register from 10.24.0.3 for (10.xx.xx.xx, xx.xx.xx.xx), not willing to be RP
Experts can anybody see the above error message and help out me.

Explanation A PIM router configured as a rendezvous point has received a register message from another PIM router, but the source of the multicast data is disallowed in this RP.
Recommended Action No action is required

Can you give brief ide about below questions it would be great help to me.
What is the advantage while configured PIM?
What is RP?
As you told what is the rendezvous point? is it relates to redundant feature?

It basically says that 10.24.0.3 is configured to use the router logging this message as RP for the group. The local router is not configured to act as an RP for the group. Inconsistency in the groups for ASM.
