Hard reset for 4506 switch

how do i do a hard reset for my 4506 ?

tried some TACACS configuration on the 4506 but end up the config was messed up.

now i cant even go to global config mode when i telnet in.

since i cant go to global config mode, i cant do a erase startup-config.

if you are not able to get into privilege mode, then you need to follow password recovery procedure. During the process you can either reset the configuration or undo the changes you have done.

managed to get into rommon to reset the config of this 4506.

Hi,

If you have configured your Local username and Pwd configured and you know it , then try removing the switch from network , so that tacacs server is not reachable and it goes to the next level local if configured by you " no aaa new-model " and put a valid tacacs config.
