How do I use an Aironet AIR-CAP1702I-B-K9?

So I got an Aironet AIR-CAP1702I-B-K9 from my work, device only, no power supply, no manual.  I tried reading about setting it up online, searched for videos, but I couldn't find anything I could really understand; it all seemed a bit over my head.  I have what I would call an above average me networking and computer knowledge, as I've done some computer programming, built computers, set up some small home networks before, etc.  But after hours of scouting the internet I can't seem to get my questions answered:

1) Can this device function by itself like a consumer router you might buy from a local or online retailer?

1)a) if so, how do I set it up for that?

1)b) if not, would I be better off just trying to sell it, or maybe trade it for for a nice consumer router, or is there a way to reprogram it like with DD-WRT to make it function like a normal router?

Hi,

I didn't find that you can run Cisco Mobility on this AP but you have options as Converting Autonomous Access Points to Lightweight Mode and with your WLC.

Please find links for your reference:

So Autonomous mode would make it act like a router, and I could then plug my DSL modem into it to get it connected to the internet?

Hi,

AP is a LAYER 2 device and we cannot so NAT / PAT and is not supported.

So it's not going to function like a regular router, and I'm better off selling it?  Am I allowed to post it for sale on these forums?

This is support form. You didn't allow to post any selling adv.  Read all terms and conditions before post anything on support form.
