Well, if you have physical access to the device, possibly pulling/replacing specific "chips".

I don't think you can remove a chip on switch; those are soldered solid into motherboard.  Some sort of electro-magnetic charger or microwave will do the job

Hammer will do the job; of course also destroying your switch - not recommended !

Good point, as most are, but, especially with regard to the device's config, it might be stored on a CF or SD card.
