Hi
as subject, I thought there is a command to let me know how many vlan I can created on cat6500.
the reason is I have create a vlan and configure on layer3 (interface vlan300), the configuration is 100% same as other vlans. but, this vlan can not get may traffic in/out. for some reason.
is any possible, the cat6500 only allow certain number of vlans to be allocated?
Any comments will be apprecaited
Thanks in advance

VLANs (and any associated SVIs) can be assigned across the range 2-4094, excluding the reserved numbers 1002-1005. So you have 4090 to choose from not including those and the default VLAN id 1.
Note that if you want to use VLANs over #1005 you need to enable the extended system-ID.

Have you placed any ports in the VLAN? The most likely cause is the 'SVI' is down.

Yes - SVI down is most likely due to no ports in the VLAN (and/or no trunk ports allowing that VLAN).
