The configuration for bfd is shown as below. (bfd echo mode)
1. interface xxxx
ip ospf bfd
no ip redirects
ip ospf network point-to-point
bfd interval 50 min_rx 50 multip 3
2. router ospf 1

I will run lab and check the value.

I run lab and I see hoddown (hits) always 0 (0) except the case the BFD is missing then the holddown will start count.
so can I see
show bfd neighbor detail

Hi MHM,, what you describe about holddown (hit) is correct. but my question is the value of the holddown under echo mode. We set the bfd hello /tx interval and min_rx interval to 50 , and multiplier is set to 3. finally this values are shown as below: the holddown value is 6000ms (6s), but hello interval is 50ms with multiplier 3, then how bfd works to judge the failure? 3 hello packets : 50ms x 3? Please advise, thanks.
