Hello All,
I have accidentally converted 40 gig port group to Tengig in one of my 6506E switch. I am not able to find way to convert back it to 40gig port group.
Please let me know the command or procedure to convert it back to 40 gig port group.

"hw-module slot <slot number> operation-mode port-group <1 or 2> ?"
ie. you need to apply that to both port groups or just the port group you want and if you do a "?" it should show you the option for 40Gbps.
Note I have never used that module so because 40Gbps is the default instead of the above you may just need to do a "no hw-module ...." for the command you entered to make the ports 10Gbps.
Either way there will obviously be downtime.

Hi Jon,
This didnt strike me. The "no" form of command worked for me.
Thanks you so much for your valuable input.

Hello,
I am about to do:
no hw-module switch 1 slot 5 operation-mode port-group 2 TenGigabitEthernet
So i can use 40g,
I get this message -
Operation mode change will reset the whole module and all the ports config will be lost. Do you want to continue with reset? [confirm]
does this reset the whole board or does it do a reset to the port group?
Thanks for any input.
