Hey guys,
I would like to know about downloading crashinfo file from the flash drive.
Pls see below:
RSW01#dir
Directory of flash:/
2 -rwx 5708466 Feb 28 1993 19:57:48 -06:00 c2960-lanbasek9-mz.122-35.SE.bin
3 -rwx 1048 May 16 2008 02:13:55 -05:00 multiple-fs
4 drwx 64 May 16 2008 12:01:33 -05:00 crashinfo_ext
5 -rwx 616 Feb 28 1993 18:00:27 -06:00 vlan.dat
6 -rwx 1916 May 16 2008 02:13:55 -05:00 private-config.text
7 -rwx 16027 May 16 2008 02:13:55 -05:00 config.text
9 drwx 64 Feb 28 1993 18:00:02 -06:00 crashinfo
32514048 bytes total (26468864 bytes free)
RSW01#more flash:crashinfo_ext
%Error, "flash:crashinfo_ext" is a directory.
I can even read it since it is a directory.
IS there a way for copy that file (or directory)?
Thank you
siraj

If it is a directory then try dir of that directory. something like dir flash:crashinfo_ext
and if the dir does show a filename then use the pathname and filename in the more command. something like:
more flash:crashinfo_ext/
Give that a try and let us know what happens.

"sh crashinfo" should work.

Nope, command not unrecognized.
SW01#sh crashinfo ?
% Unrecognized command

Hope this link would be of some help to you.

I have tried all the commands on that link, but the problem is, this device is treating crashinfo as directory instead of file.
See here:
SW01#sh file in flash:crashinfo
type is Directory >>>>
Thanks anyway for link, bvs

it mentions that "sh stack"
& "sh tech-support" shows the crashinfo. You may extract those files.

If it is a directory then try dir of that directory. something like dir flash:crashinfo_ext
and if the dir does show a filename then use the pathname and filename in the more command. something like:
more flash:crashinfo_ext/
Give that a try and let us know what happens.

I don't think this folder will show up in "dir". You can use dir + "?".
So you can see Crashinfo:
Switch#dir ?
/all List all files
/recursive List files recursively
all-filesystems List files on all filesystems
bootflash: Directory or file name
cns: Directory or file name
crashinfo: Directory or file name ------------------------> Crashinfo is here
flash: Directory or file name
null: Directory or file name
nvram: Directory or file name
system: Directory or file name
tar: Directory or file name
tmpsys: Directory or file name
webui: Directory or file name
