Customer presented with an 827 which he wants re-configured for a new ISP.
However, his original provider locked the device and did not supply security details. Client purchased this router.
How can one reset the device back to "factory default" ? So as to allow access to configure it?
There is no obvious "reset button" (as on the 880G for example) - and whether accessing via CCP app or using a telnet session into the console port, credentials are still need...
appreciate any help.
Rob

Hi Rob,
The doc below outlines the process for a password revovery/reset procedure.
Cisco 800 series (or any series to my knowledge) do not come with a factory reset button.
Once you have/ reset the password you can wipe the configuration useing the command
'write erase" then just power cycle the router.
Hope this helps.
