Hi,
I have one issue with HSRP adjacency. We have two routers HSRP enabled for a group of VLANs.
We are facing adjacency issue with three vlans frequently.
HSRP state is being changed from Active to Speak , and later Speak to Actvie. .......frequently on both routers.
What is the reason , how can we fix that. ?
Thanks,
Ajay.

Hello Ajay,
HSRP states rapidly changing is a symptom of problems at layer 2 like bridging loops
you need to look for changes of STP state on the switches that implement the group of Vlans associated to those HSRP groups.
show spanning-tree
look for changes of STP root bridge Bridge ID and so on
Hope to help

Hi Ajay,
are you facing same issue with all vlans or just 3 vlans?

We are facing the issue with only 3 vlans.

As others have said. Chances are the hellos are getting delayed/lost. Do you have preempt configured?
How big is your l2 network? I've seen problems with root bridges not on the core switches and thus the inter-switch head end was blocked causing the hello updates to traverse 6 switches!
