I have tried everything, updating to latest firmware, cofig'ing spanning tree. i have the ports i want to use for the APs on LAG. However, nothing will power these APs. I see the switch is capable of 802.1af like the APs want. But what am i missing here. Would love some help.. Please email me anyone who can help.

What vendor AP do you have? To build a LAG with Cisco switches you need to configure a Portchannel but that may not be supported by other vendors.

Make sure the interface in 1200 is smart port and the 140ac have LLDP enable. The switch and AP needs to negociate the power and they do it using LLDP.

Hi,
I am sorry to let you know that your model (C1200-16t-2g) does not support PoE. Plese see the "Features of the Cisco Catalyst C1200 Switches" table (page 3) at the Admin Guide as per beneath:
Best regards,
Antonin
