%ICMPV6-3-ND_LOG: icmpv6 [3486] Duplicate source address fe80::226:98ff:fe05:b641

Hello,

  I have got  a pair  nexus 7000.It has got mutiple vlans enabled with  ipv6 address .The  vlans  are trunked between the nexus

via a port channel.After enabling the nexus  with ipv6 I am seeing  the following messages .Any idea why

Can you trace the address fe80::226:98ff:fe05:b641 in the network? It's probably one of your Nexus...take a look.

Maybe you have a link flapping...or an HSRP config error.

Hi,

You can force the link-local address under interface with this command: ipv6 add fe80::XX link-local.

Both your Nexus chose the same link-local addresses for each interface and so DAD( duplicate address detection is complaining).
