I have read that some Cisco components can increase the default TFTP block size to values greater than 512 bytes by using the command -
ip tftp blocksize xxxx
This doesn't seem to be available on Cisco 2960 series switches. Is there a way to do this with the 2960's?

12.2(50)SE5 LanLite switches but present on all my 15.X LanBase switches.
LANLite ... enough said.
I don't believe LAN Lite switch support this feature.

Not sure about plain 2960 but maybe it depends on the IOS running.
In regards to 2960S, I've enabled "ip tftp block 8192" on all of our 2960S.

Thaks for the quick response. Upon closer inspection it appears that this command is missing on my older 12.2(50)SE5 LanLite switches but present on all my 15.X LanBase switches. So I guess I need to update one of these LanLite switches to 12.2(55)SE9 to see it the command appears or if it simply isn't available in LanLite.
Does anyone know?

I have moved a WS-C2960-24LC-S running LanLite to 12.2(55)SE9 - the current end of the line for this switch - and indeed the command is not present. Sooo....this appears to be a limitation of LanLite.
My predecessor implemented about 70 switches with LanLite. I put a stop to this about a year ago but it is going to take some time to flush them out of the inventory.
Thanks for your response.
