Hi All

My topology

SWH01(gi0/1)<------------link1-------------->(gi0/1)SWH02

SWH01(gi0/2)<------------link2--------------->(gi0/2)SWH02

The both switch was configured etherchannel and It worked fine before . After I have changed the Etherchannel configuration to PVST configuration on the both switch. SWH02 is root brigde,the link1 is forwarding sate and the link2 is blocking state but when I go show interface gi0/1 on SWH02. The input rate and output rate counter disappear although there are traffic go though this link, because I can query this traffic counter information on a SNMP client. Please help me know and how to resolve this issue.

Did you try reverting the old config to see if that chages the behaviour? Which switches are these? What is the IOS running on these switches? Please paste the show version from the switches.

Cheers,

Hello Bill,

this might be a known software bug of this platform

for example I have the same problem on a stack made of 2 X 3750 with 12.2(40)SE

rates are 0 even if we know traffic is on the interfaces

to be noted that in SNMP tools like MRTG or CACTI is possible to see the traffic loads of these same interfaces because packet and byte counters are still working

Hope to help

Giuseppe

Hi Guiseppe

Thanks for your repply. I will take note about software bug of this flatform

Best Regards

CSCsz18634 matches this behavior and isn't fixed until 12.2(53)SE on the 3750 platform.
