inserting GLC-FE-100LX in to 2960S SFP slot

Hi

Based on following Scenario

we have 3750 (WS-C3750-24FS) core switch connected to 2960S Edge Switch (GLC-FE-LX)

Is it wise to connect 3750 having 100 Mbps MTRJ fibre with 2960S SFP( GLC-FE-100LX)

Is it possible to use SFP GLC-FE-100LX with 2960S switch

Hi,

According to the Table 8 in the Cisco 100-Megabit Ethernet SFP Modules Compatibility Matrix, GLC-FE-100LX is supported in the 2960 and 2960S switches. You will need to use at least IOS version 12.2(53)SE1 in order to be able to use that SFP module. See the link below.
