What is the difference between interface and controller?

Why would this TenGigabitEthernet0/0/15 be an interface and this FAC-0-8-0-3-4 a controller?

Not sure what platform you are using, but in general "sh inter TenGigabitEthernet0/0/15" will provide you with some basic info about the interface but "sh inter TenGigabitEthernet0/0/15 controller" will provide a lot more info like number of packets, frame size, unicast, broadcast, multicast, QoS, transmit, receive, etc.
