Hi guys, with reference to the above link, it seems to miss out on the router's configuration.
What I would like to know is should we also configure static routes in the router to vlan 2, 3 and 10?
What other commands should we configure in the router to make it work with the setup?
Thanks.

Hi there,
The config in the referenced link is complete.
You do not need to include static routes for VLANs 2,3 and 10 as these are local to the switch and will appear as connected routes in the routing table.
The 7200VR will need a route for 10.1.00/16 directed towards the 3550.
cheers,
Seb.

Hi Seb,
Thank you for the reply.
A question. Why does the 7206 need a route to the 10.1.0.0/16 network? I thought the "IP routing" command in the 3550 takes care of that already?

The 3550 switch has a default route to send traffic to the router but the router needs to know how to route traffic back to the 10.1.x.x vlans.
So on the router -
ip route 10.1.0.0 255.255.0.0 200.1.1.1
note Seb gave a 10.1.0.0/16 route as it covers all the 10.1.x.x subnets but you could also have individual entries per subnet eg.
ip route 10.1.2.0 255.255.255.0 200.1.1.1
ip route 10.1.3.0 255.255.255.0 200.1.1.1
etc
