I am new to this so sorry if I have overlooked something so simplistic it hurts
We have just received a new 3750X-12S-S to put onto our existing network but I am having a few issues getting this switch working correctly.
For this post, the permenant license is not activating/applying, switch boot up gives the following errors:
*Mar 1 00:00:05.377: Read env variable - LICENSE_BOOT_LEVEL =
*Mar 1 00:00:05.972: %IOS_LICENSE_IMAGE_APPLICATION-3-FAILED: Image application receive image level as NULL.

*Mar 1 00:00:05.972: %IOS_LICENSE_IMAGE_APPLICATION-3-FAILED: Image application can't find an unenforced level !

Checking the system:
#show license all
License Store: Primary License Storage

I have run the license boot command to set ipbase as the next load license, but the console shows:
*Mar 1 00:03:43.673: license level 'ipbase', not supported
Supported license levels are:
and before reloading the switch:
#show ver
License Level:
License Type: Default. No valid license found.
Next reload license Level:
From my understanding these switches come with the ipbase license as default, and the other switch I received (3750X-24P-S) has this license loaded with no issues.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
You are correct. The default license level for the 3750x switches is IP Base. Does this switch has the same IOS version loaded as 3750X-24P-S?
The switch may also have memory issue since there is traceback
Traceback= 533568z 6760z 540B98z 5410CCz 26D5768z 26CF5DCz
If an IOS upgrade does not resove it, talk to your sales rep and RMA the switch.

Heya
The switch didn't have the same IOS version as the 24P-S so I upgraded the 24P-S to match the 12S-S and the 24P-S is working with no problems.
I've attempted to reinstall the IOS twice but the same issue has happened both times.
They are both now running on c3750e-ipbasek9-tar.122-58.SE2 - would you recommend trying to downgrade the IOS?

No, that image should run on both devices. I recommend you RMA the switch since it is new and you have warrenty for it.
