IOS upgrade for 24 port and 48 port switches

I have three  24 port POE 9300 switch which is upgraded to Fuji 16.09.05 version .And our new switch is 48 port 9300 POE . Which is already in Gibraltar-16.12.02 version . Is it a problem to be in stack for 24 port switch with 48 port switch. And do i need to upgrade all the switches to Gibraltar 16.12.02 version or downgrade to Fuji 16.09.05 version. Which option will be better other than autoinstall.

Hi,

That should not be a problem. Just make sure you have the same exact IOS and license on both switches before stacking them.

not at all recently i have tested 48port + 24 port stacking and upgraded to 16.12.02 ( 16.12.03a released later, worth looking based on the feature you looking. also make sure you read the release notes before upgrading)
