ISPRouter>>WatchGuard Firewall>>>( Building V 3750)switch>>>>>(Building M)..CoreSwitch Cisco 3750 routing enabled(ip 10.100.0.4 -gateway)>>>>>have 6 other cisco switches connected to Building m in a star config....Have 5 vlans

On the firewall I have a static route pointing  to 10.100.0.4.

1. should I config a default gateway to 10.100.0.4 on building v switch?

2. On a workstation 10.100.0.119. I complete a trace route to 10.100.0.1 (firewall interface), shouldn't I go through 10.100.0.4 ? When I complete trace route I only see 10.100.0.1??

For one subnet you can see one hop so its fine you see the 10.100.0.4 in tracerout and not the default gateway 10.100.0.1. But you try to traceroute other vlan or network IP you will see he default gateway hop in traceroute. So traceroute to same vlan IP address will not show that vlan default gateway.
