IP sla 1 opttions

I have a 4507 running Version 12.2(52)SG and I am trying to ip sla  reachability  however that feature isn't available on this version do I need to upgrade the switch to a new IOS or another way of doing this?

Sla object tracking is supported in IOS XE with IP Base license.

I have a WS-C4507R and this is what i see

4507(config)#ip sla ?
key-chain Use MD5 authentication for IP SLAs control message
responder Enable IP SLAs Responder

Have a look at this document. 

The IP SLAs responder can be a Cisco IOS Layer 2, responder-configurable switch, such as a Catalyst 4500 running the IP base image. The responder does not need to support full IP SLAs functionality.
