ip sla on 2960

Hi,

I am trying to find out which 2960 supports IP SLA source feature. Currently i am running it on WS-C2960-24PC-L which is end of sale. i need to know which new 2960 support this functionality. I bought two switches (WS-C2960+24TC-L and WS-C2960+24LC-L) but both of them only support responder functionality. Below is my current IP SLA config working on WS-C2960-24PC-L which i need to run on new one.

ah.. yours is C2960-24TC-L and mine is WS-C2960+24TC-L ... (plus)

ah ok that's why its not there , I don't think I have any plus models to check all S or standard were moving away from 29.. series so we haven't bothered replacing them

I checked the feature navigator too and it hasn't updated the 2960 plus its there but showing nothing for your image and I see there are no v12s available for that model  only v15

when I check the data sheet the plus series does not look to support it at all like you said just responder

the plus version is also the replacement for the current 2960s all of them looking at the doc , you might be out of luck here , a new 2960 may not support it at all anymore

Would you suggest any other replacement of 2960 in the same price range?

we need up to 16 ports. and basic static routing and vlans with IPSLA feature.

I suppose that's the problem all the 2960s are eol now as below in next 2years that currently do support ip sla and there all being replaced with 2960 plus which only does responder so if ip sla is the tie breaker you might want to look at something else like 3650 they definitely support all feature as there dist level switches , it depends as well if you want it under active support with Cisco if not an non plus model should do for you rather than forking out for  3 series

checking the compact switches there the same and even the X series is only responder too , that's all the 29 series
