Hello all,
We currently have a cisco 1811 router that is connected to one isp (verizon). This is also configured as our DHCP server. Latley verizon has been causing us issues on their end, and i was wondering if it is posible to set up a 2nd network connection with a different DHCP server to take over just incase our main line, verizon goes down agian? On the router, verizon is going into fa0/0 and we have fa0/1 open. Could we put a different isp into fa0/1 like cox to be a fall back incase the connection on fa0/0 (verizon) goes down?
thanks.

Here is very good example of configuring BGP with two different Service Providers.

I dont think my router supports BGP. Could i just set up a second static route with a higher metric? and if so what is the command to increase the metric?
