Hello

Community

Please can you help me.

I have my ISP that give me a new circuit with RJ48 of 155 mbps.(copper)

My router is a 7200 with a GBIC WS-G5483

The Cisco 1000BASE-T GBIC (product number WS-G5483) connects a GBIC port to Category 5 wiring using a standard RJ-45 interface.

The maximum Category 5 wiring distance is 328 feet (100 meters).

My question is the RJ48 will work in the GBIC interface of the router?

The bandwidth 155mbps support in the GBIC interface?

Thanks  for the help.

Best Regards!!

Hi,

Have a look at this matrix and look under "Cisco 7200 series routers". Although it may work but G5483 is not in the list of supported products.  If this does not work, you can get media converter to convert from copper to fiber.  I use transition networks and the products are pretty good.
