Hello,
We are experiencing an issue with VLAN tracking on our Cisco Nexus 9000 Series switches running NX-OS version 10.2(1). The problem is as follows:
- We have a VLAN configured over a specific trunk.
- Tracks are configured to specific destinations, and the only path to these destinations is through this VLAN.
- Upon shutting down the trunk, the tracks go down as expected.
- However, after one day, we observed logs indicating that the tracks were up, without any actions being taken on the trunk.
Steps Taken:
1. Verified that the VLAN is not allowed on any other interfaces.
2. Checked for redundant paths and alternate routes.
3. Ensured correct configuration of VLANs, tracking mechanisms, and gateway settings.
4. Reviewed logs and did not find any anomalies.
We would like to know if there are any known bugs or issues related to this behavior in NX-OS version 10.2(1). Any insights or suggestions for further troubleshooting would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Abdelrahman

Do traceroute check of there is other path.
Also the vlan must be down if trunk is down or not allow it except case
You use this vlan for other port on that case it will be UP

Also do

If there is other path then sure it will appear in rib
