L1 Failure detection mechanism

Kindly can any one advice me about the difference between the below failure detection 

1- Carrier delay  

2- Debounce timer 

3- Sonet / SDH APS timer

Hello,

1- Carrier delay

--> typically a configurable value that allows for the link to recover before the configured time value expires. If you experience small flaps, setting this value keeps routing protocols from rerouting traffic and recalculating routes

2- Debounce timer

--> I think this is used on switches to inform the supervisor of a link going down. The value set is the time the interface waits to inform the supervisor

3- Sonet / SDH APS timer

--> very similar to the carrier delay, it is used to prevent route flaps and allows for the SONET/SDH interface to recover before an APS cutover occurs
