hi,
is it necessary to enable logging synchronous on all switches and routers?

unsolicited messages that are routed to your console are to be displayed at the terminal.
Unsolicited messages and debug command output appears on the console after the prompt for user input is returned. Therefore, unsolicited messages and debug command output are not interspersed with solicited device output and prompts. After the unsolicited messages are displayed, the console again displays the user prompt.
Say for example when you tried to telnet your Router or switch you will see lot of log messages before you logged in with username and password

Hi Vishal,
The logging synchronous command is used to synchronize unsolicited messages and debug output with solicited Cisco IOS Software output.
When the syslog logging stops working, disabling the logging synchronous command on the console line may cause logging to resume.

Hi Vishal,
This command simply prevents breaking your line output especially when typing in commands.
Router(config)#line console 0
Router(config-line)#logging synchronous
Router(config)#line vty 0 4
Router(config-line)#logging synchronous
I would gladly like to demonstrate further how this works but got no PC to do this now.
