MACsec between &k and 9K

Is it possible to create MACsec between a Cisco 7K and 9K if the hardware supports MACsec or do the switches need to be of the same model\version?
Thanks.

Hi

As per I figured out today, if they are Nexus9000 93180YC-EX chassis they dont. But if not, they support.

And the switch does not need to be the same model. They both need to suport macsec (802.1AE).

The same way PC and switch that are totally different devices can work together with macsec.
