Hey
I only heard of maintenance mode being available in NX-OS
what exactly are you trying to

Thank you. I am trying to move a router to maintenance mode. it is C2800 Version 12.7 IOS version. So, this option is only possible in Nexus devices and not in IOS platform devices?

Hi
never seen it in IOS and I have been on most types of devices at one stage or another, from what Im aware of its an NX-OS feature only

Indeed. Only NX-OS.

If you are going to create your own profile rather than let the system mode maintenance command do it for you, see Configuring the Maintenance Mode Profile File.

Thank you. so this is not possible in C2800 routers with IOS 12.7 version?

Google don't give me any result on this... So i don't think it's possible. I find it only for NX-OS

I think you mean rommon...
Here is the link - http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/routers/2600-series-multiservice-platforms/22188-pswdrec-2600.html
So you need to connect to your router via console cable and reboot it. Press Break on the terminal keyboard within 60 seconds of power up in order to put the router into ROMmon.
