Hello,
I was trying to configure some etherchannels on a C9606 chassis and was able to configure 16 of them. All 16 were given numbers between 1-116 (ex., port-channel 116). When I tried to configure a port-channel and assign it a number over 126, the command was rejected. The range shown on the cli is <1-126>. Does anyone know if the C9600 series running IOS-XE Gibraltar have any limitations on the maximum number port-channels that can be created?
Thanks in advance,
~zK

Zekebashi,
From https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/lan/catalyst9600/software/release/16-12/configuration_guide/lyr2/b_1612_lyr2_9600_cg/b_1612_lyr2_9600_cg_chapter_011.html#concept_z2m_cvx_mhb (Layer 2 Configuration Guide, Cisco IOS XE Gibraltar 16.12.x (Catalyst 9600 Switches))
If improperly configured, some EtherChannel ports are automatically disabled to avoid network loops and other problems. Follow these guidelines to avoid configuration problems:
A maximum of 128 EtherChannels (non-StackWise Virtual setup) and 126 EtherChannels (StackWise Virtual setup) are supported on a switch or switch stack.
