Have a configuration question.
Problem: I have a customer that is providing their VLAN to a MS250 switch. But I need to translate that VLAN number to a different VLAN number.
Possible Solution: so if I have the customers VLAN coming in on port 3 as VLAN 10 and I have port 4 as access VLAN 10 and port 5 the new VLAN 500 then connect port 4 and 5 in a loop. Will this work?

- In essence you can't change a vlan number , usually you will use routed ports for that kind of traffic bridging ,

Hello
If Im understanding you correctly you can assign any vlan to you customer as long as its specific to their traffic, I dont see any issues changing port 3 from vlan 10 to vlan 500 unless that is the customer are tagging to that specific vlan number, then you would have to negotiate with them, but again I dont see why it cannot be change thereafter.

Paul, The problem is I am being presented with VLAN 8 tagged traffic from the customer and I need to translate it to VLAN 999 in my Private DR Cloud. What I am thinking I can do on the MS250, is have an Access port tagged as VLAN 8 and then another Access port tagged as VLAN 999 can just connect the two ports with a cable.
I know I can do this on a Catalyst switch. Just wondering if it will work on the Meraki
