Hi to all, i'm Fabio and i'm studying the MST protocol.
I have the following scenario:
Four vlan need to be configured: vlan 90, 97, 100, 150
I want to get two logical L2 topologies, using Multple Spanning Tree Protocol, according to the following requests:
- S4 root primary for vlan 150, 90, root secondary for vlan 100, 97
- S3 root secondary for vlan 150, 90, root primary for vlan 100, 97
My "Solution plan" is:
-Put switch0, swicth 1, S3, S4 in transparent mode
-create vlan 100, 97, 150, 90 in each switch
-create one region with "Lab" name in all swicthes (S1, S2, S3, S4)
-create instance 1 for vlan 150, 90
-create instance 2 for vlan 100, 97
-configure primary, secondary root based on my request
Question Number 1:
-I need to replicate these configurations in all switches (S1, S2, S3, S4)?
Continuing to my "solution plan", Intervlan Swicthing:
-create four svi on distibution switches in order to allow intervlan communications
-Clearly, i will create trunk link using 802.1q in order to support vlan's transmission and also access
-Is it correct my "solution plan"?

Question 1 answer - Yes
Solution Plan - You need to create the SVI's on the switches that will be handling the Layer 2 to Layer 3 - up to the 2 x 2621 routers
