I have and issue with IBM z14 (Mainframe) OSA TCP/IP and N5K (Nexus 5672) switch:
I can´t reach the z14 IP address from a different IP network.
z14 IP address is reachable on the same network.
Any PC or Server (Windows, Linux or Unix) in the same network as the z14 ,is reachable from a different IP Network.
IBM z14 default gateway and netmask are OK.

Hard to tell what is missing without the config but check to make sure there is default route on the Nexus.
There should be something like this:
ip route 0.0.0.0/0 <next hop ip address>
Also, make sure the IBM has gateway address.

Hi Reza,
Than you for your prompt answer.
The N5K switches are both running L3 interface-vlan routing and EIGRP to reach our IP Network.
We are injecting a default network (ip summary-address eigrp 2282 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0) from a Catalyst 6509 switch ussing EIGRP.
Attached please find the N5K switch config.

Hi Alberto,
Can you post a diagram of your network and where the IBM connects?
So, is the Catalyst layer-2 only?

Hi Reza,
Attached please find a network diagram.
Catalyst 6509 Layer 3 only (Core LAN)
Thank you,

Hi Alberto,
Thanks for the diagram.
So, EIGRP is running between the Nexus and the 6500?
If yes, is the peering between the Nexus and the 6500 up (sh ip eigrp nei)
Also, is HSRP functioning correctly for vlan 129 (sh hsrp vlan 129 or "sh hsrp brief")
Can you post the outputs?
HTH
