Can anyone tell me what this incompatible message means, impact and how to resolve ?

MYN7K# show vpc brief
Legend:

Hi Al,
Can you send "show vpc consistency-parameters global". Type-2 error like this should refer to a configuration mismatch. Likely you are either missing an SVI on 1 switch, or an SVI is in a down state on one where other is up.

Sorry about the format!
The only difference is the Vlans 100 and 101
MYN7Kr1# show int vlan 100
Vlan100 is administratively down, line protocol is down
MYN7Kr1# show int vlan 101
Vlan101 is up, line protocol is up
MYN7Kr2# show int vlan 100
Vlan100 is up, line protocol is up
MYN7Kr2# show int vlan 101
Vlan101 is up, line protocol is up
If we enable the Vlan 100 then we have had some routing issues so it has remained shutdown with everthing working. So that's probably the cause but is it important and does it affect my network that we are in this inconsistency state?
thks
Al

hello Alan ,
I have remarked the same issue when I was adding some new VLAN-ids to the VPC config and then configured the SVIs on top of it.
The missing SVIs are only the VL226 and VL126 from the VPC point of view ( i.e. configured only on one of the peer VPC switches ), even if we still have other SVIs ( VL100 and VL200 ) that are enabled on one of the peer vpc switches. We can note also that in terms of the forwording it works fine. If you want to establish OSPF adjacency with the 3rd party switch-router then the adjacency will also come up ( at least in the 5.1.2 NX-OS ) .
Cheers ,
Michal

Chad,
Thanks for the help. We just match the SVI status the same on both vPC peers and everything resolved.

Hi All,
one quick question. May be its related this post.
We have 2 box with VPC config N5K (5.0) . we are planning to add Vlan on box. what is best practice for this.is there any thing break when we add on one box. and then other. in time between do we find any abnormal behaviour in switch ?
Thanks & Regards
A.N
