Dear Friends,
Just wanted to know that if i put the native vlan for a trunk port, should it exist in the vlan database of the switch?
For example, if i define a native vlan 900 for a trunk port, should vlan 900 too reside on the vlan database of the switch?
Thanks and Regards
Gautam

Thanks for the clarification. I am sorry if this was an invalid question. The reason i got this doubt was that i saw one 6500 switch (IOS ver 12.2(33) SXH3) with native vlan 900 configured on trunk port but it was not there when i said show vlan command.
I was not sure if there will be anything wrong because of this.
Thanks a lot
Gautam
