i have a stacked 3850 2 switches and i need to upgrade ios xe. when i check the flash it does not meet the requirements for the new ios upgrade
Requirement of new ios:
Min Memory: DRAM 4096 MB Flash 2048 MB
Size: 288.95 MB (302988468 bytes)

Hello,
unless you need both images, during the upgrade process you will be asked to erase the existing files in flash, so you should be fine.
You can also use the 'software clean' command to remove unnecessary files from your flash. See the below document for reference:

I am trying to delete the old IOS but this command is not showing up "software clean" any idea why ?
I know that I can delete it manual but I am confused why this is an unknown command.
I also have two more 3850 stacked and there it worked fine.

Hi,
As I said before, you still have about 1.2 to 1.3 Gig available to load the new IOS. So, you are good to go.
The attachment shows 1.3 available.

Hi,
According to the output you posted, you have 1269755904 (1.2Gig) available space on your flash. So, you can load the new IOS and keep the old IOS as well in case you need to revert to it.
