Hello everyone,
I’m working with a Cisco Catalyst 3560 series switch and I need to replace the fan module (C3K-BLWR-60CFM). I’m looking for some advice on a few points:
Compatibility: Is the C3K-BLWR-60CFM fan module compatible with any other Cisco switch models besides the Catalyst 3560 series? I want to make sure I’m ordering the correct part.
Any help or insights from those who have worked with this component would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

The C3K-BLWR-60CFM fan module is primarily designed for the Cisco Catalyst 3560 and Catalyst 3750 series switches. These two series share many common hardware components, and the fan module is interchangeable between them.
However, it's important to note that this specific fan module is not compatible with newer models like the Catalyst 2960-X or 9200/9300 series, as they have different form factors and cooling systems.
Before ordering, ensure you're working with the correct series, and if you manage multiple switches, double-check each switch model’s hardware documentation to confirm compatibility.

Hello,
Yes, it will work for you. Here is an official guide: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/lan/catalyst3750x_3560x/software/release/15-0_2_se/release/notes/OL25302.html

Hi,
Please be careful. The fan module you are referring to is intended for the 3560-E series switches. The original Cat3560 Series used different fan units fitted inside the unit at the side of the box (contrary to the C3K-BLWR-60CFM module which is inserted in the switch rear panel). Also the Cat3560-E series use two different fan modules (C3K-BLWR-60CFM, C3K-FAN-16CFM), being switch model dependent.
Best regards,
Antonin
