Hi all
I have noticed a large volume of traffic on our network over the past few weeks, with traffic passing over our ISP managed network. We dont have a router between our LAN and the ISP router, the connection is setup as a switch port. With this in mind, is it possible for me to gather ip top talkers on this switchport, or must it be a routed port? Thanks in advance

Hi Jake
Thanks for the link. But the issue is that the command "ip route-cache flow" cannot be entered on a switchport, it must be a routed port. Was wondering if there was another option?

Dpending on how new your IOS is top N reports might help. Take a look and see if it's anything you can use.

This can depend on what software you are running . The command set is different between Native IOS and "hybrid" IOS/CatOS Systems too.
Functionality also differs between Supervisors.
This should help you determine the commands needed to turn netflow on.
We could probably help a little more if we knew what hardware and software versions your 6500 is equipped with.
Hope this is helpful!
