Network Error: Connection refused when attempting to SSH into Switch via Putty

Can you send the output of the following commands?:

 

- show version

- show ip ssh

- show run | s line

You did provide much of explanation but that is maybe because you don't have a username and password set up.

I can actually get into all Switches but this one. It's something pertaining to this particular switch. It's not a password issue. Any other suggestions?

What is the uptime of the switch ? Sometimes a reload helps with these issues...

Is the switch reachable?

Can you ping the IP?

I found that SSH was not enabled. All's well now.

Use the command show ip ssh.

Example output:

 

Device# show ip ssh

SSH Enabled - version 1.5
Authentication timeout: 120 secs; Authentication retries: 3

When SSH is disabled you get the following result:

Device# show ip ssh

%SSH has not been enabled

The previous post is correct. The show ip SSH command verifies whether SSH is enabled or not
