Network Link Speeds

I have done some research and cannot come up with a reason as to why the following is occurring:

The following switch ports in the Internal - switch network changed their link speeds.

Internal - Switch 40 Access port on VLAN 12

100 Mbps to 1 Gbps

I doesn't happen on the same port or switch, it is more of a random occurrence. Thought it may have been because the computer goes into a low power mode when it is not in use. We do not turn our computers off at night or have them go to sleep as updates to MS Windows and other software occur overnight.
