Lab 7.4.8 outlines a setup where we need a ArchLinux VM (security_workstation.ova) connecting to a router in packettracer. The goal is to setup a Radius server on th VM, to which aaa authentications from the packettracer will be authenticated.
The thing is: there must be a working connection between the VM and a packettracer router.
The VM has to be set to Bridge mode, with a static address residing in the 192.168.1.0/24 network, according to the assignment. And in PT there is a router with an interface address on g0/0/0 of 192.168.1.1.
Everytime a try to traceroute or ping from the VM to the router interface on 192.168.1.1, the ping fails ("destination host unreachable")
My question: is it possible to connect a (VirtualBox) VM in bridge mode to a router in PT?
