I've recently brought up a Nexus 4000 and to my suprise it is not behaving like a FEX. I'm pretty sure sales mentioned that it would be able to be managed by my Nexus 5548 as if it were a 2148 FEX. Is there an option for it to be either an autonomous switch or a FEX, or was the sales person mistaken?
thank you,
Bill

It's a blade server layer2 switch, not a FEX.

Looking over the documentation, I don't see any way to have the vpc at the host, as I've been doing with the 5ks and 2ks. So the only way to get active/active working with the 4k is to have the vpc between the 4k and 5k?
thank you

Can the 4000 series do VPC?
Thanks

I'm not sure. It doesn't appear as a feature, but the vpc domain command is available, though when trying to use it I get an error "feature is not available".

I thought so. With the current code, the 4000 does not support VPC.
Thanks,
