Hi, I'm trying to preprovision some 2248s on a 5548 running 5.0.3.N1.1 and am getting errors while trying to provision slot numbers between 100-108. These are new switches with enough config on them to make them network accessible, no more, no vPC config etc. I immediately upgraded to 5.0.3.N1.1 from 5.0.2.N1.1 and then attempted to preprovision some FEXs when I ran into this error.
Based on the messages I left the switch overnight giving it the benefit of the doubt, however as I suspected I'm receiving the same results this morning. Note I'm receive the same error on its sister switch.
In my lab env I had preprovisioned some FEXs starting at slot 100 on 5.0.2.N2.1 code. No issues, I then upgraded to 5.0.3.N1.1. I could attempt the same thing here but I shouldn't have to. Suspecting this is a bug but I haven't opened a case with TAC yet.

I'm interested in what the result of this is. I'm ordering the exact same hardware here very shortly.... 3x 2248TP and 2x 5548P

We had a TAC Case open on this 617370923. Upon upgrading to the latest code, we are seeing some random configuration slots. We have a bug open on this CSCtn94753 which our Development team is working on. The workaround we have is to save the config, write erase and then reload the switch. Once this is done, we are able to provision the slots correctly without any issue.
Let us know if there are any questions. Thanks, Vinayak
