So... we inherited a couple of Nexus 5548's from an acquisition. I started the process of "factory resetting" the device - all good. Except - I didn't realize that 1) it would wipe the kickstart and system boot files and 2) we are just out of our support contract. So, that means, without a support contract, you can't copy down even just the original nor "up to when support expired" software. Correct?
So, if that is correct, and, barring purchasing a contract for the device, are there steps to copy the kick and system image from our other switch that hasn't yet gone through the factory reset process?
Thanks!

Hi
1 If your out of contract correct you cant download from Cisco website
2 Yes you can copy it from bootflash to an scp/ftp server or to your usb if you stick it in and then upload it to current switch without any image to that bootflash
copy bootflash:n5000-uk9-kickstart.5.2.1.N1.4.bin usb1:
good video on it when coming from boot loader
