Is vlan 242 in the vPC peer link? if not the HSRP peers can't each other.

I have a similar problem, In your case, the vlan 242 is a vPC VLAN?

Yes, was a vPC VLAN and is on the peer-link. Now we separate the Routing and the DIstribution in diferents VDC and upgrade to vrrp v3 and is solved. But we dont have good experience with vPC+ VRRP.
