Nexus 7K F3 FEX support

Hi, Cisco docs state all F3 modules support FEX connections. How can F3 module with 100G CPAK interfaces support FEX? Also the same with one M2 and its 100G CFP interfaces..

40G QSFP+ interfaces have breakout cable to 4x10G LC, is there something similar with CPAK and CFP?

The  Cisco CPAK 100GBASE-SR10 module (Figure 2) supports link lengths of  100m and 150m on laser-optimized OM3 and OM4 multifiber cables,  respectively. The module delivers high-bandwidth 100-gigabit links over  24-fiber ribbon cables terminated with MPO/MTP connectors. It can also  be used in 10 x 10-Gb mode along with ribbon-to-duplex-fiber breakout  cables for connectivity to ten 10GBASE-SR optical interfaces.

Hi James,

Thank you. So the summary:

F3 100G CPAK module support FEX modules using breakout cables.

M2 100G CFP module does not support FEX per its datasheet.
