Nexus 9k vPC and orphan Port

Hi All,

The server are running in orphan ports and connected into two CSW1 and CSW2, anyone can comment on this design?
For sample rtr that configured in vpc sometimes the router can see the 10.62.192.10 and  cannot reach the 10.62.192.11. 
vice versa behavior.

How is your Server side config is this active/Standby ? LACP ?

 

can you post interface configuration on the next side where these ports connected.

Hi Bb, 

 

The server side was config as active active as per the administrator, i tried to config it as po and vpc the link didnt went up. I think because the server is not in lacp config.

 

1. In network side what is the right and simple configuration? Or this will depend on server side? 

 

2.Do I need to form a channel-group 1 even the server works as active active and mode access?

 

I'm confused when to use portchannel, as i know use it when you need redundancy.
