Hi all, Fundimental question. Apologies if it is silly. How do you normally manage nexus switches? We have a secondary dc with a single Nexus 9300 and wondering how I should deal with the management port. Should I ignore it and just perform all management 100% in-band, or should I plug the management port into itself?
We don't have an entirely separate management network. I suppose the same kind of question would be asked of core switches in a vdc pair. Where would you place the management port?

yes that should work if you dont have total deployment of OOB
but for management i would use Management port to connect to in-band manamgement vlan in your existing Manangement VLAN, since MGMT port is different profile all together.

Hello @ombai
this port is typically use for out of band management. Connected directly through switch/router dedicated to OOB.

I will check if you can use it for vpc keepalive in Nexus.
I will update you if I found something.
