Number of port channels Catalyst 9000

IOS XE on Cat 4500-X supports 256 port channels with VSS. Can someone tell me if it is the same on the Cat 9Ks? or, how many port channels does IOS XE support in the Cat 9Ks?

On the 9300 series, it is 128.

I saw that documentation also. I was hoping that the 9Ks would have the same "multiplying" behavior the 4500-Xs do -- 64 port channels on a single switch, but 256 in a VSS pair (or maybe I am incorrect on that?).

Cat 9K more of StackWise Virtual ( traditional  6K is VSS ) I belive still StackWise virtual stand same as 128 max.

That is correct. For the 4500x VSS, the total number is 256
